Adhesion of Aeromonas hydrophila to Glass Surfaces Modified with Organosilanes

open access: yesFood Technology and Biotechnology, 2013
The aim of this research is to study the adhesive properties of Aeromonas hydrophila to glass surfaces modified using four silanes with different reactive groups, namely (3-glycidoxypropyl) diethoxysilane, (3-N,N-dimethyl-3-N-n hexadecylammoniopropyl ...

Should State-Owned Firms Change CEOs Before Privatization? The Case of the Telecommunications Industry [PDF]

open access: yes
Should state-owned enterprises change chief executive officer before privatizing? We test competing views on this question by complementing a recently released database with newly collected data. We are able to cover 77 telecommunications privatizations,

Multimodal Imaging of Strain and Light Emission of Core–Shell InGaN/GaN Wires under a Sub‐Micrometer Polychromatic X‐Ray Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Micro‐Laue diffraction and excited optical X‐ray luminescence are used to study InGaN/GaN core‐shell wires on the BM32 beamline at the European Synchrotron. Multimodal imaging of X‐ray fluorescence, deviatoric strain tensors and optical emissions is performed using simultaneous mapping.

Interfaces and interfacial effects in glass reinforced thermoplastics - Keynote Presentation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Optimization of the fibre-matrix interphase region is critical to achieving the required performance level in thermoplastic matrix composites. Due to its initial location on the fibre surface, the sizing layer is an important component in the formation ...

Stereospecific and chemoselective copper-catalyzed deaminative silylation of benzylic ammonium triflates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A method for the synthesis of benzylsilanes starting from the corresponding ammonium triflates is reported. Silyl boronic esters are employed as silicon pronucleophiles, and the reaction is catalyzed by copper(I) salts.

Engineering Active Metal Oxide Interfaces on MOF‐Derived 3D Carbon Architecture for Small‐Molecule Biosensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
MOFs awaken graphene. MOF‐assisted ultrafast laser writing patterns porous laser‐induced graphene with CuO‐active nanodomains, creating an aptamer‐ready interface for small‐molecule capture. Coupled to an extended‐gate FET, the hybrid converts subtle biochemical binding into a clear electrical signal for resilient cortisol sensing in aqueous media ...

Evaluation of silanes in SBR 1502 / Telinne Monspessulana flour composites

open access: yesPolímeros
A comparative study was performed on the effect of the addition of silane coupling agents (SCA), vinyltrimethoxysilane (VTMS) and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) to a mixture of styrene butadiene rubber SBR1502 with Telinne Monspessulana flour (TMF).
