Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Optimizing Blood Pressure Control: A Randomized Comparative Trial of Losartan/Chlorthalidone vs. Losartan/Hydrochlorothiazide

open access: yesCardiology and Therapy
Introduction Cardiovascular diseases are a leading cause of global mortality, with hypertension as a major risk factor. Low control rates are often attributed to monotherapy, while evidence and clinical guidelines support the effectiveness of combination

Comparative investigations of silanes in UN Test O.2 (liquid oxidizer)

open access: yesResults in Chemistry
Decachlorotetrasilane, octachlortrisilane and hexachlorodisilane show false-positive results in the UN Test O.2 (liquid oxidizer). The cause of this unexpected result had been explained in former investigations.

Iron Sequestration by Galloyl–Silane Nano Coatings Inhibits Biofilm Formation of Sulfitobacter sp.

open access: yesBiomimetics, 2023
Microbially-induced corrosion is the acceleration of corrosion induced by bacterial biofilms. The bacteria in the biofilms oxidize metals on the surface, especially evident with iron, to drive metabolic activity and reduce inorganic species such as ...

A Material‐Agnostic Strategy for Uniform Patterning of Conjugated Polymers Unveils the True Role of Porosity in Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A generalizable strategy for fabricating regular porous, chemically intact conjugated polymer channels reveals how porosity benefits organic electrochemical transistors. Composition‐dependent performance enhancement is linked to charge carrier mobility, volumetric capacitance, and effective doped volume.

Silicone Phase Behavior Resolves the Softness–Surface Functionality Trade‐Off in Emerging Stretchable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrasoft silicone elastomers often sacrifice surface functionality for mechanical compliance. In Mold Star, low‐molecular‐weight species form a dispersed phase that weakens the network and passivates the surface. Solvent extraction removes this phase, unexpectedly improving both extensibility and metallization performance, enabling conductive ...

Different bonding agents effect on adhesive bond strength: lithium disilicate glass ceramic

open access: yesRevista de Odontologia da UNESP, 2020
Introduction The silanization of the ceramic surface prior to applying the adhesive and/or resinous materials plays an important role in bond strength. Nowadays, a new family of adhesive systems has been introduced into the market, aiming to simplify the

An NHC‐Mediated Metal‐Free Approach towards an NHC‐Coordinated Endocyclic Disilene

open access: yesChemistryOpen, 2022
A convenient metal‐free approach towards an N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC)‐coordinated disilene 2 is described. Compound 2, featuring the disilene incorporated in cyclopolysilane framework, was obtained in good yield and characterized using NMR ...
