Obtaining homogeneous silicon in the process of alumothermic reduction of silicon dioxide
The influence of charge components on emergence of a homogeneous phase of silicon in the process of silicon dioxide reduction by aluminium has been studied. Optimal process parameters affecting the quality of the end product have been identified.

Effect of silica particles on vulcanization performance, viscoelasticity and cell structure of EPDM
Four different types of silica particles (A200, H2000, R812S, T36-5) were used as reinforcing fillers for EPDM to prepare microcellar EPDM foams by supercritical CO2.

COMPARISON OF PBE AND SCAN FUNCTIONALS ON WATER-SILICA SURFACE INTERACTION
Interaction of alpha quartz phase of silica with water is investigated at the molecular level using density functional theory. First principles calculations were performed with PBE and SCAN functionals for similar binding geometries of water.

Silica, Hybrid Silica, Hydride Silica and Non-Silica Stationary Phases for Liquid Chromatography [PDF]
Free silanols on the surface of silica are the "villains", which are responsible for detrimental interactions of those compounds and the stationary phase (i.e., bad peak shape, low efficiency) as well as low thermal and chemical stability. For these reasons, we began this review describing new silica and hybrid silica stationary phases, which have ...
