Beyond Bioactive Glass Composition: Using Morphology to Improve in Vitro and in Vivo Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Bioactive glasses can easily be shaped into granules, spheres, discs, fibers, or three‐dimensional scaffolds. The resulting morphology not only affects handling properties; it has a direct influence on various glass properties, including results of acellular immersion experiments or in vitro studies with cells or bacteria, but also on in vivo ...

Co-Application of Seaweed Extract (Solieria filiformis) and Silicon: Effect on Sporulation, Mycorrhizal Colonization, and Initial Growth of Mimosa caesalpiniaefolia

open access: yesMicroorganisms
Seaweed extracts (SEs) and silicon (Si) are known to enhance plant growth under adverse conditions. However, their combined effects on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are not yet fully understood.

Visible Light Induced DLP‐Printed Oxygen‐Releasing TPMS Scaffolds Mitigate Early Hypoxia in Bone Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Visible light‐induced digital light processing 3D printed Primitive‐triply periodic minimal surface hydrogels embed CaO2–Si core–shell nanoparticles to deliver short‐term oxygen during the avascular window. The scaffolds maintain cytocompatibility, elevate osteopontin in vitro, and enhance calvarial defect repair in vivo without toxicity.

Shedding Light on the Cellular Uptake Mechanisms of Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles as Controlled Intracellular Delivery Platforms: A Review of the Recent Literature

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the main uptake pathways of bioactive glass nanoparticles (BGNs) and their intracellular localization, highlighting that BGNs are mainly internalized and entrapped within endosomes/lysosomes. Strategies for controlled intracellular ion release, with implications for targeted modulation of cell behavior, are discussed. The need to

"Progress in inorganic nano-fillers reinforced cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber composites "

open access: yesHecheng xiangjiao gongye
The mechanical properties of unmodified cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber were not satisfactory, and different types of reinforcing agents had different effects on the mechanical properties of cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber.
