Comprehensive study on influence of low dose chronic consumption of silver nanoparticles on cognitive functions and identification of the effect reasons [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
The influence of the daily prolonged administration of silver nanoparticles on cognitive functions of model mammals was studied. The accumulation of silver in whole brain, hippocampus, cerebellum, cortex and residual part of mice brain was investigated by highly precise and representative Neutron Activation Analysis and the histological studies were ...

Regulating Protein Immobilization During Cell‐Free Protein Synthesis in Hyaluronan Microgels

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Bifunctional microgels carrying a linear DNA template and Ni2+‐activated NTA moieties are used as platform for cell‐free protein synthesis and in situ protein immobilization. By varying the concentration of NTA moieties in the microgels, the amount of GFP‐His immobilized inside the microgel and released to the microgel environment can be regulated ...

The Regulation of Trace Metal Elements in Cancer Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The induction of ferroptosis inhibits tumor growth, enhances anticancer efficacy, and overcomes drug resistance. Recent evidence shows nonferrous metal elements play a role in ferroptosis. This review focuses on how trace metals regulate ferroptosis processes like iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant defense.

Case review and imaging: Treatment of central venous catheter associated fibrin sheath and chronic thrombus with the ClotTriever system

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports
Fibrin sheath formation is a leading culprit of central venous catheter malfunction. The complete removal of fibrin sheaths is an essential component of maintaining catheter patency, preventing future restenosis, and decreasing the risk of bloodborne ...
