This article investigates the dependence of the properties on the manufacturing orientation in the form of the inclination angle to the build plate of LPBF‐fabricated NiTi rods with a diameter of 150–220 µm. Metallographic, chemical, thermal, and mechanical characterization show behavior under identical manufacturing conditions that ranges from ...

Silver deposition on chemically treated carbon monolith [PDF]
Carbon monolith was treated with HNO3, KOH and H2O2. Effects of these treatments on the surface functional groups and on the amount of silver deposited on the CM surface were studied by temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS).

Silver Recovery from Radiographic Films Using an Electrochemical Reactor
Electrochemical studies were performed to recover silver from radiographic films on A304 stainless steel (A304 SS) and titanium (Ti) flat electrodes using a filter press-type electrochemical reactor (known as ER01-FP), as counter electrode was used a ...

Architecture‐Driven Sensor Stability in Weft‐Knitted Engineering Textiles
Textile‐integrated sensor architectures are systematically compared to evaluate their electromechanical behavior under combined mechanical and environmental loading. Pocket‐based integration exhibits stable and reproducible signals, whereas tunnel‐based routing shows higher sensitivity accompanied by increased variability.

Silver nanoparticle deposited implants to treat osteomyelitis [PDF]
AbstractIn this study, electrolytically deposited strongly adherent silver nanoparticles on stainless‐steel (SS) implants were used for in situ osteomyelitis treatment. Samples were heat treated to enhance adhesion of silver on 316 L SS. Ex vivo studies were performed to measure silver‐release profiles from the 316 L SS screws inserted in equine ...

Effect of silver content on the structure and antibacterial activity of silver-doped phosphate-based glasses [PDF]
Staphylococcus aureus can cause a range of diseases, such as osteomyelitis, as well as colonize implanted medical devices. In most instances the organism forms biofilms that not only are resistant to the body's defense mechanisms but also display ...

Entropy‐Driven Design of Low‐Melting‐Point Alloys via Compositionally Complex Strategy
Conventional low‐melting‐point alloys (LMPAs) are limited by a narrow compositional space and inherent property trade‐offs. This review presents an entropy‐driven design strategy that overcomes these limitations, ushering in a new class of low‐melting‐point compositionally complex alloys (LMCCAs).
