Modulating Photodissociation and Photobleaching via Plasmon Resonance to Enhance Light-Induced Nitric Oxide Release

open access: yesApplied Nano
Localized therapeutic action and targeted drug release offer compelling advantages over traditional systemic drug administration. This is particularly important for nitric oxide (NO), whose biological effects vary greatly depending on concentration and ...

Mixed‐Polymer Hole Transport Layers Reinforce Au‐Anode Top Emitting Perovskite Light Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Au‐anode corrosion is shown to occur rapidly under voltage bias in MAPbI3 perovskite LEDs. Resulting Au+ migration quickly leads to device shorting and unstable emission during constant current driving. We demonstrate that using a simple mixed‐polymer hole transport layer containing polyTPD and PVK can reduce Au‐corrosion and stabilize LED operation ...

Semi‐Transparent Organic Photodiodes with Near‐Infrared Detection Fabricated by Inkjet Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work shows the inkjet printing of semi‐transparent and opaque organic photodiodes that enable light detection in the near‐infrared regime. Their transparency and high detection speed make them ideal for applications in soft robotics, wearable devices, and light communication systems.

Characterization of indigo carmine with surface-enhanced resonance Raman spectroscopy (SERRS) using silver colloids and island films, and theoretical calculations

open access: yes, 2008
The application of resonance Raman (RR) and surface-enhanced resonance Raman (SERR) spectroscopies to the qualitative and semiquantitative analysis of the artificial dye indigo carmine has been examined using sodium-citrate-reduced silver colloid and ...

Extrinsic and Intrinsic Charge Transfer at Interfaces of Membrane‐Based Oxide Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Freestanding oxides have emerged as a new opportunity to tailor oxides outside of the typical epitaxial constraints. We present the fabrication of TiO2‐terminated SrTiO3 membranes via direct growth control. We demonstrate competing ionic and electronic charge transfer in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 bilayers using near ambient pressure XPS.

Silver island films, monomolecular polymer layers and fluorescent collector dyes - their characterisation and electromagnetic interaction

open access: yes, 2022
Improvement of the flourescent quantum yield and chemical stability of bathochromic organic dyes was the aim in studying their interaction with small silver particles in a polymer matrix.

Stretchable Energy Storage with Eutectic Gallium Indium Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
A highly stretchable liquid metal‐based electrode is developed via a one‐step process, retaining conductivity and capacitance after mechanical deformation up to 900% strain. The stretchable all‐solid‐state device provides a areal energy density of 43 µWh cm⁻2 after 150% strain.

From Materials to Systems: Challenges and Solutions for Fast‐Charge/Discharge Na‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically analyzes the key characteristics limiting the fast‐charge/discharge capability of Na‐ion batteries (SIBs) from a multi‐scale perspective encompassing electrode materials, the electrode‐electrolyte interface, and the system. Furthermore, it presents practical solution strategies for the fundamental issues arising at each scale,
