Mitigating Residual FAI for Air‐Stable FAPbI3 LEDs

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Treating FAI‐rich FAPbI3 perovskite films with the multifunctional molecule DEAET, combining a protonated amine and a thiol group, effectively regulates residual surface organic‐halide species, suppresses non‐radiative recombination, and modifies interfacial energetics. The resulting near‐infrared perovskite LEDs achieve 14% external quantum efficiency

A 66‐Nuclear All‐Alkynyl Protected Peanut‐Shaped Silver(I)/Copper(I) Heterometallic Nanocluster: Intermediate in Copper‐Catalyzed Alkyne‐Azide Cycloaddition

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Ligand‐protected heterometallic nanoclusters in contrast to homo‐metal counterparts show more broad applications due to the synergistic effect of hetero‐metals but their controllable syntheses remain a challenge.

Thermal Instability Pathways of Aluminum‐Based Nanocomposites: The Role of Alloying‐Element‐Driven Precipitation and Amorphous Interlayers

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Thermal instability mechanisms governing novel Al‐based PVD/ALD nanocomposites are uncovered through synchrotron XRD, STEM, APT, and micromechanical testing. Temperature‐dependent crystallite evolution reveals a defined stability window before degradation dominates, offering new insight into the design of thermally robust, functional Al‐based ...

Face-Centered Cubic Silver Nanoclusters Consolidated with Tetradentate Formamidinate Ligands

open access: yes
Growing attention has been paid to nanoclusters with face-centered cubic (fcc) metal kernels, due to its structural similarity to bulk metals. We demonstrate that the use of tetradentate formamidinate ligands facilitate the construction of two fcc silver

Synthesis of Chiral Gold Nanostructures on Gold‐Coral‐Coated Transparent Conductive Oxide Substrates via [AuCl4]– and Cysteine Interactions for Enhanced Chiral Sensing

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
We developed hierarchical chiral Au nanostructures on Au coral structures on transparent conductive oxide substrates using only electrochemical methods. By controlling the interaction between [AuCl4]– and cysteine, we successfully tuned the morphology and circular dichroism of the resulting Au nanostructures.

Glucose sensor using redox active oligonucleotide-templated silver nanoclusters

open access: yes
Redox active, photoluminescent silver nanoclusters templated with oligonucleotides were developed for glucose sensing. The silver nanoclusters had a photoluminescent emission at 610 nm that reversibly changed to 530 nm upon oxidation.

Multielectron Charge Storage Enables Cascade Electrochemiluminescence in an Atomically Precise Silver Nanocluster

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
An atomically precise Ag6 nanocluster stores multiple electrons through sequential reduction reactions and releases the stored charge through successive emissive oxidation reactions with a benzoyl peroxide‐derived radical. This multielectron charge storage pathway enables an electrochemiluminescence cascade, producing a substantially more efficient ...

Luminescent nanoclusters of silver and gold

open access: yes, 2018
Gold and silver clusters with sizes up to ∼100 atoms have unique properties, such as luminescence, that are not found in bulk materials or in larger nanoparticles. Clusters can be prepared with atomic monodispersity rather than a size distribution, as is common for larger nanoparticles.
