Inkjet Printing of Silver Nanowire Networks [PDF]

open access: yesACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2015
The development of printed electronics will require the ability to deposit a wide range of nanomaterials using printing techniques. Here we demonstrate the controlled deposition of networks of silver nanowires in well-defined patterns by inkjet printing from an optimized isopropyl alcohol-diethylene glycol dispersion.

A Simple and High Yield Solvothermal Synthesis of Uniform Silver Nanowires with Controllable Diameters [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nanostructures, 2015
Silver nanowires were synthesized by solvothermal method through reducing silver nitrate (AgNO3) with ethylene glycol (EG) in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP).

Flexible transparent electrodes based on silver nanowires synthesized via a simple method [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science, 2017
Silver nanowires (Ag NWs) with the length of approximately 60 µm and the diameter of approximately 300 nm are prepared via a simple, cost-effective, high-yield and eco-friendly procedure under a high molar concentration ratio of silver nitrate (AgNO3 ...

Centrifugal Spinning Enables the Formation of Silver Microfibers with Nanostructures

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
Silver nanowires (AgNWs) have received much attention and application in transparent electrodes, wearable electronic devices, and sensors. The hope is for these nanowires to eventually replace the most commonly used transparent electrode material—indium ...

Influence of annealing on the photochemical deposition of silver onto PZT thin films under UV irradiation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Silver nanoparticle deposition from an aqueous solution of 0.01 M silver nitrate solution onto the c+ domain of PZT (30/70) thin films has been investigated for samples annealed at a variety of temperatures from 530 to 690 °C. The impact of annealing was

Rapid and Facile Synthesis of High-Performance Silver Nanowires by a Halide-Mediated, Modified Polyol Method for Transparent Conductive Films

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
Silver nanowires are receiving increasing attention as a kind of prospective transparent and conductive material. Here, we successfully synthesized high-performance silver nanowires with a significantly decreased reaction time by a modified polyol method.

Silver nanowires as plasmonic compensators of luminescence quenching in single up-converting nanocrystals deposited on graphene

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Single nanocrystal spectroscopy is employed to demonstrate metal-enhanced optical response of Er3+/Yb3+ doped up-conversion nanocrystals deposited on graphene upon coupling with silver nanowires.

An Invisibility Cloak Using Silver Nanowires [PDF]

open access: yesPlasmonics, 2011
In this paper, we use the parameter retrieval method together with an analytical effective medium approach to design a well-performed invisible cloak, which is based on an empirical revised version of the reduced cloak. The designed cloak can be implemented by silver nanowires with elliptical cross-sections embedded in a polymethyl methacrylate host ...

Fabrication of silver nanowires via a β-cyclodextrin-derived soft template

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2018
Supramolecular β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) was used as a soft template for the fabrication of long silver nanowires. A novel design using self-assembled β-CD for the reduction of silver ions was studied. The concentrations of iron chloride, silver nitrate, and
