Do Similar Entities Have Similar Embeddings?
Knowledge graph embedding models (KGEMs) developed for link prediction learn vector representations for entities in a knowledge graph, known as embeddings. A common tacit assumption is the KGE entity similarity assumption, which states that these KGEMs retain the graph's structure within their embedding space, \textit{i.e.}, position similar entities ...

Similarity and block similarity
This paper studies the algebraic properties of a pair of matrices. More specifically, it studies the similarity of matrix pairs. Some equivalent characterizations of the block similarity of matrix pairs are given. A survey of some generalizations of properties of the invariants of similarity to the invariants of block similarity is also presented.

Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.

How similar is similar enough? [PDF]
I investigate the issue of the context-dependence of counterfactual conditionals and how the context constrains similarity in selecting the right set of worlds necessary to arrive at the correct truth-conditions. I propose that similarity is constrained by what I call Consistency and Non-Triviality.
