Simple Acoustic Grating Modulators
Applied Optics, 1972Simple low-cost modulators based on the Raman-Nath regime of acoustooptic diffraction have been demonstrated. Experimental results on internal laser modulators constructed from some dense flint glasses and fused quartz are presented. 100% modulation of He-Ne lasers with rise times on the order of 1 musec are obtained with 10-MHz modulator drive powers ...

For a right module [Formula: see text], we prove that [Formula: see text] is simple-injective if and only if [Formula: see text] is min-[Formula: see text]-injective for every cyclic right module [Formula: see text]. The rings whose simple-injective right modules are injective are exactly the right Artinian rings.

The short-time-consumption melting and hot pressing processes were used to synthesize n-type and p-type Bi-Sb-Te thermoelectric materials. The synthesis materials were characterized and used for the module fabrication. The aluminium substrate was used instead of alumina substrate because it is easy to cut and to avoid fragility of the module.

Simple spatial phase modulator for focal modulation microscopy
Applied Optics, 2009Focal modulation microscopy (FMM) is an emerging microscopy technique for fluorescence imaging of thick biological tissue in vivo. A spatial phase modulator is a critical component whose characteristics have a significant impact on the performance of a FMM system.

Simple modules on a ring have information about a part of the spectrum (the maximal spectrum) and, in some cases, about the whole ring. Therefore, knowledge about the structure and properties of simple modules is of interest. In the case we are interested in: chain conditions on modules relative to a multiplicative set S ⊆ A or a hereditary torsion ...

IETE Technical Review, 1992
This paper describes an amplitude modulator circuit that uses a minimum number of components. The basic principle and experimental results followed by merits and demerits of the circuit are presented.

A simple, all solid-state, circuit is described that produces a square wave with variable amplitude from 0 to 1000 V and a frequency of 120 kHz into a capacitive load. The device is of application to Stark modulation in microwave and gas radical e.s.r. spectroscopy.

Simple Divisible Modules Over Integral Domains
Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1989AbstractAn R-module is a simple divisible module if it is a nonzero divisible module that has no proper non-zero divisible submodules. We study simple divisible modules and their endomorphism rings, give some examples and determine all simple divisible modules over some classes of rings.

Strongly Simple-Injective Rings and Modules
Algebra Colloquium, 2008If M and N are right R-modules, M is called simple-N-injective if every R-homomorphism γ from a submodule K of N into M with γ(K) simple extends to N. In this paper, a right R-module M is called strongly simple-injective if M is simple-N-injective for every right R-module N. We investigate the notion of strong simple-injectivity and, as an application,
