Wavelength effects on simple reaction time [PDF]
Simple reaction time was measured to spectral lights matched photometrically in luminance. When these lights were presented on a dimmer achromatic background, reaction time did not vary as a function of wavelength. Moreover, reaction times to white and chromatic lights were the same.

A shared neural network for simple reaction time
Simple reaction time, a simple model of sensory-to-motor behavior, has been extensively investigated and its role in inferring elementary mental organization has been postulated. However, little is known about the neuronal mechanisms underlying it. To elucidate the neuronal substrates, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) signals were collected

Program of Seven 45-min Dry Immersion Sessions Improves Choice Reaction Time in Parkinson’s Disease
The study hypothesis held that in subjects with Parkinson’s disease (PD), the reaction time (RT) tests of the higher cognition demand would have more readily improved under the program of analog microgravity (μG) modeled with “dry” immersion (DI).

Age Differences in Intra-Individual Variability in Simple and Choice Reaction Time: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis [PDF]
Intra-individual variability in reaction time (RT IIV) is considered to be an index of central nervous system functioning. Such variability is elevated in neurodegenerative diseases or following traumatic brain injury.
