Frequency‐trajectory‐oriented control strategy for primary frequency regulation of wind farms
This paper proposes frequency‐trajectory‐oriented control (FTOC) for wind farms based on a two‐fold optimization framework, seeking to obtain the best frequency control performances in primary frequency regulation through realizing the optimal compromise between frequency results and the consumption of wind farms reserve capacity (WFRC).

Distributed model predictive control of all‐dc offshore wind farm for short‐term frequency support
Abstract From technical and economical viewpoints, an all‐dc offshore wind farm (OWF) with a high‐voltage direct‐current (HVDC) connection, which is also known as HVDC‐connected all‐dc OWF, is the future trend for offshore wind energy applications. However, due to the decoupling effect of power converters, all‐dc OWF cannot directly provide short‐term ...

Robust Frequency Control of Microgrids: A Mixed H2/H∞ Virtual Inertia Emulation
This article proposes a robust inertial controller for converter‐based distributed generators employed in low‐inertia power systems like microgrids. The increasing penetration level of renewable energy sources based on power electronics converters in modern power systems reduces the inertial features of the system. It also increases concerns associated
