A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

Construction and calibration of a rainfall simulator [PDF]
A portable rainfall simulator featuring a rotating disc and nozzle, has been developed for use in field studies of erosion, infiltration, and runoff processes. Variable intensities of simulated rainfall ranging from 15 to 150mm h−1 are produced by choice of appropriate nozzles and slot apertures in the rotating disc.

A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.

Design of a programmable rainfall simulator [PDF]
A programmable controller (PIC) was designed to provide a greater flexibility in rainfall simulator research. The PIC controlled the rainfall simulator using a process control board employing a microprocessor. This control board provided programmable capability previously unavailable in field research. Software to control the system was developed using

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A RAINFALL SIMULATOR [PDF]
Rainfall simulators are helpful tools used to study hydrologic and erosion processes. Rainfall simulations researches are very rare in the Middle East region. In this research, an artificial rainfall simulator system has been developed to apply a controlled amount and rate of rainfall on a test plot located in an arid basin in western Saudi Arabia ...
