Adaptive Responses of Tropical Crops: A Multi‐Scale Omics Integrated Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tropical crops integrate genomic, morphological, physiological, and ecological adaptations to thrive under extreme and variable environments. This review highlights how natural selection, domestication, and breeding shape stress resilience, resource‐use strategies, and productivity in sugarcane, banana, cassava, rubber and oil palm, offering new routes

Gas Sensing With Aerogels: A Critical Review on Structure‐Property Correlations and Performance Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
With high specific surface area, and adjustable interface, aerogel provides a multi‐functional platform for gas sensing. This review systematically links structural parameters (specific surface area, pore size, heterojunctions) to sensing metrics (sensitivity, selectivity, stability), critically evaluates optimization strategies, and outlines future ...

Partial Phase‐Separation in the Initial Growth Stage of Exsolution‐Active SrTi0.95‐xNi0.05NbxO3‐δ Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation emerges during the initial growth of heavily Ni‐ and Ni,Nb‐co‐doped STO thin films, leading to preferential accumulation of Ni and embedded NiOx nanoinclusions in thicker films. Nb co‐doping partially suppresses the ordering of these embedded structures, comprising about 20% of all Ni ions.

The Effect of Temporal Distribution Pattern of Rainfall Intensity on Runoff and Soil Loss in a Hillslope in a Semi-Arid Region [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم آب و خاک
The temporal distribution pattern of rainfall can play a role in the production of runoff and soil loss during rainfall. This study investigated four rainfall patterns: uniform, advanced, intermediate, and delayed rainfall under field conditions.

Interference of ATP‐Binding Cassette Transporter by Functional Nano‐Delivery System for High Efficiency Management of Insecticide‐Resistant Nilaparvata lugens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A ZIF‐90 nanocarrier delivers dinotefuran and suppresses NlABCG3 and NlABCH1 in resistant Nilaparvata lugens. This system combines pH/ATP‐triggered release with enhanced foliar retention, improving efficacy while sparing honeybees and promoting rice growth, offering a promising resistance‐breaking strategy.

Study on Rainfall Space-time Downscaling Based on Multifractal Analysis

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2010
:In order to establish the relations between different scale rainfall fields, a space-time multifractal analysis on Doppler radar rainfall from HUBEX was proposed and scaling anisotropy parameters were estimated by spectral analysis.

Drop‐Location‐Insensitive Droplet‐Based Electricity Generator Using Polydimethylsiloxane Slippery Covalently Attached Liquid Coatings

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Drop‐location sensitivity remains a key barrier to practical droplet‐based electricity generators (DEGs). Here, a polydimethylsiloxane slippery covalently attached liquid (PDMS‐SCAL)‐coated interface promotes droplet sliding instead of splitting or bouncing, allowing stable electricity generation from randomly falling raindrops. The resulting PDMS‐SCAL‐

Groundwater Rise Sustains the World's Largest Alpine Water System Under Global Warming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Shallow groundwater depth (SGWD) across the non‐permafrost plains of the Qinghai–Xizang Plateau decreased at averagely 0.02 m year−1, adding 31.44 Gt of freshwater storage from 2000 to 2020 and sustaining ∼53 500 km2 of alpine ecosystems. A vadose‐zone capacity of 426.6 Gt reveals these aquifers as promising reservoirs, highlighting groundwater's ...
