Microstructural evolution of premium rail steel during flash butt welding (FBW), comparing physically simulated heat‐affected zones with actual weld regions. Thermal cycles induce phase transformations and microstructural heterogeneity that influence weld quality and mechanical performance. These findings provide insights into optimizing FBW parameters

Accelerated in situ formation of TiB and TiC in Ti–5Al–2.5Sn–B4C is driven by transient liquid phase formation, which enhances particle reactions and microstructural evolution. This process increases hardness and establishes a coupled relationship between sintering temperature and reinforcement content, strongly influencing porosity in the resulting ...

Simulation-based education in ultrasound – diagnostic and interventional abdominal focus
AbstractSimulation-based training (SBT) is increasingly acknowledged worldwide and has become a popular tool for ultrasound education. Ultrasound simulation involves the use of technology and software to create a virtual training setting. Simulation-based training allows healthcare professionals to learn, practice, and improve their ultrasound imaging ...

Simulation-based education for building clinical teams
Failure to work as an effective team is commonly cited as a cause of adverse events and errors in emergency medicine. Until recently, individual knowledge and skills in managing emergencies were taught, without reference to the additional skills required to work as part of a team.

Simulation use in perfusion education: A 2025 survey of United States programs
Background: Simulation-based education (SBE) is increasingly used in training students in allied healthcare, yet data on its role in United States (U.S.) perfusion programs are limited. This study surveyed perfusion programs with the purpose of assessing

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.
