Estimation of Single-Index Models Based on Boosting Techniques [PDF]
In single-index models the link or response function is not considered as fixed. The data determine the form of the unknown link function. In order to obtain a flexible form of the link function we specify the link function as an expansion in basis ...

Coincidence Point Theorems on $b$-Metric Spaces via $C_{F}$-Simulation Functions
In this paper, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of the coincidence points with the $C_{F}$-simulation function for two nonlinear operators on the $b$-metric space.

Darbo type $ \mathcal{Z}_{\rm{m}} $-contraction and Darbo type $ \mathcal{L}_{\rm{m}} $-contraction are introduced and some fixed point results are established for such contraction mappings.

Green Function Simulation of Hamiltonian Lattice Models with Stochastic Reconfiguration [PDF]
We apply a recently proposed Green Function Monte Carlo to the study of Hamiltonian lattice gauge theories. This class of algorithms computes quantum vacuum expectation values by averaging over a set of suitable weighted random walkers.

Some Results on S-Contractions of Type E
In this manuscript, we consider the compositions of simulation functions and E-contraction in the setting of a complete metric space. We investigate the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point for this composite form. We give some illustrative examples

Measurement and simulation of laser-induced fluorescence from non-equilibrium ultracold neutral plasmas [PDF]
We report new measurements and simulations of laser-induced fluorescence in ultracold neutral plasmas. We focus on the earliest times, when the plasma equilibrium is evolving and before the plasma expands.

Analysis of the Brinkman equation as a model for flow in porous media [PDF]
The fundamental solution or Green's function for flow in porous media is determined using Stokesian dynamics, a molecular-dynamics-like simulation method capable of describing the motions and forces of hydrodynamically interacting particles in Stokes ...

Simulations functions and Geraghty type results
We concern this manuscript with Geraghty type contraction mappings via simulation functions and pull down some sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of point of coincidence for several classes of mappings involving Geraghty functions in the setting of metric spaces. These findings touch up many of the existing results in the literature.

Recent Advances on the Results for Nonunique Fixed in Various Spaces
In this short survey, we aim to underline the importance of the non-unique fixed point results in various abstract spaces. We recall a brief background on the topic and we combine, collect and unify several existing non-unique fixed points in the ...

Nonlinear response of electrons to a positive ion [PDF]
Electric field dynamics at a positive ion imbedded in an electron gas is considered using a semiclassical description. The dependence of the field autocorrelation function on charge number is studied for strong ion-electron coupling via MD simulation ...
