Models and simulations in electromyography
Muscle & Nerve, 2002In electromyography, one assesses the pathophysiology on the basis of the waveform characteristics of the recorded signal. This requires detailed knowledge of the relationship between the waveform generators and the waveform measurements. Models and computer simulations can be used to explore this relationship in an efficient manner.

Modeling and Simulating Organisations
2011The paper provides a survey comprising meaningful organisational approaches to Multi-Agent-Systems (MAS) that exist in the computational theory field. The organisational concepts are collected and represented as a metamodel of some commonly agreed organisational ontology of human systems. Next, this metamodel - a proposal for the extension of the Agent-

Proceedings of Winter Simulation Conference, 1995
Presents a structure for defining and categorizing simulation model designs. In the past, simulation researchers have created categories for discrete event simulation: event, process and activity; however, there are problems with this breakdown. First, the major problem is that the taxonomy based on these three sub-types deals with only discrete event ...

Introduction to modeling and simulation
Proceedings of the 29th conference on Winter simulation - WSC '97, 1997This introductory tutorial is an overview of simulation modeling and analysis. Many critical questions are answered in the paper. What is modeling? What is simulation? What is simulation modeling and analysis? What types of problems are suitable for simulation? How to select simulation software?

Nets in modeling and simulation
1980Place/Transition nets, or Petri Nets, have an appealing mix of simplicity and power for expressing essential interactions in concurrent systems. Yet, when one wishes to express the complexities of actual computing systems, and deal with performance questions typically asked about them, one needs further capabilities that are attuned to the application —
