Simuliidae of Turkey (Diptera, Simuliidae). I. First faunistic and biogeographic data

The authors list 22 species of Simuliidae collected at 21 stations in several hydrographic networks. Many species are new for Turkey. The biogeographic analysis shows that we are essentially dealing with an european palearctic fauna of which 9 elements have a largely european distribution.
