FastFaceCLIP: A lightweight text‐driven high‐quality face image manipulation

open access: yesIET Computer Vision, Volume 18, Issue 7, Page 950-967, October 2024.
A novel image control method that synergises the robust generative capacity of FastFace, rooted in the ViT model architecture, with the extraordinary visual‐text encoding prowess of CLIP was developed. The proposed scheme demonstrates its effectiveness in editing a variety of real and cartoon portraits, achieving some manipulations unattainable with ...

Integrative bioinformatics and experimental validation of hub genetic markers in acne vulgaris: Toward personalized diagnostic and therapeutic strategies

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 23, Issue 5, Page 1777-1799, May 2024.
Abstract Background Acne vulgaris is a widespread chronic inflammatory dermatological condition. The precise molecular and genetic mechanisms of its pathogenesis remain incompletely understood. This research synthesizes existing databases, targeting a comprehensive exploration of core genetic markers.

Twelve years of rain attenuation statistics of Earth–space propagation experiment at Ka band in Toulouse

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, Volume 42, Issue 2, Page 165-180, March/April 2024.
The results of a 12‐year Earth–space propagation experiment at Ka band are summarised. The paper discusses long‐term and monthly statistics of rainfall rate and rain attenuation, as well as the year‐to‐year variability of rain attenuation. Experimental statistics are compared with current reference models.

Solving the Coulomb Schrödinger Equation ind= 2 + 1 via Sinc Collocation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Computational Physics, 1996
We solve the non-relativistic Coulomb Shrodinger equation in d = 2+1 via sinc collocation. We get excellent convergence using a generalized sinc basis set in position space. Since convergence in position space could not be obtained with more common numerical techniques, this result helps to corroborate the conjecture that the use of a localized basis ...

The Generalized Hermite Spectral Method Combined with Laplace Transform for Solution of the Time Fractional Fokker–Planck Equation

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
The paper proposes a method to solve the time fractional Fokker–Planck equation using the generalized Hermite spectral method and Laplace transform. By the Laplace transform, the ordinary differential equation about the orthogonal expansion coefficient is transformed into a linear algebraic equation system, with the coefficient matrix being a ...

A Sinc-collocation method with boundary treatment for two-dimensional elliptic boundary value problems

open access: yes, 2005
It is difficult for the Sinc-collocation method to solve directly boundary value problems in two variables with the mixed nonhomogeneous boundary condition. In this paper, a developed Sinc-collocation method with boundary treatment (SCMBT) is introduced.

DOUBLE EXPONENTIAL EULER–SINC COLLOCATION METHOD FOR A TIME–FRACTIONAL CONVECTION–DIFFUSION EQUATION [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this research, a new version of Sinc-collocation method incorporated with a Double Exponential (DE) transformation is implemented for a class of convectiondiffusion equations that involve time fractional derivative in the Caputo sense.

Accurate Spectral Collocation Computation of High Order Eigenvalues for Singular Schrödinger Equations

open access: yesComputation, 2020
We are concerned with the study of some classical spectral collocation methods, mainly Chebyshev and sinc as well as with the new software system Chebfun in computing high order eigenpairs of singular and regular Schrödinger eigenproblems.

A Novel Efficient Approach for Solving Nonlinear Caputo Fractional Differential Equations

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
Several scientific areas utilize fractional nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) to model various phenomena, yet most of these equations lack exact solutions (Ex‐Ss). Consequently, techniques for obtaining approximate solutions (App‐S), which sometimes yield Ex‐Ss, are essential for solving these equations.

An efficient scheme for solving a system of fractional differential equations with boundary conditions

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
In this study, the sinc collocation method is used to find an approximate solution of a system of differential equations of fractional order described in the Caputo sense.
