A Sinc–Collocation method for the linear Fredholm integro-differential equations

Zeitschrift für angewandte Mathematik und Physik, 2006
A Sinc–Collocation method for solving linear integro-differential equations of the Fredholm type is discussed. The integro-differential equations are reduced to a system of algebraic equations and Q-R method is used to establish numerical procedures. The convergence rate of the method is \(O{\left( {e^{{ - k{\sqrt N }}} } \right)}\).

Solving differential equations using Sinc-collocation methods with derivative interpolations

Journal of Computational Methods in Sciences and Engineering, 2015
This paper presents the application of Sinc-collocation method to solve linear second order boundary value problems based on derivative interpolation. Even in the presence of singularities, the Sinc-collocation method is known to exhibit exponential convergence, resulting in highly accurate solutions.

Sinc Collocation Methods for Solving Quantum Mechanical Problems

2017
In quantum mechanics, the Schrödinger equation is the staple for investi- gating and understanding quantum phenomena. Adjunct with the Schrödinger equation, the mathematical and physical laboratory that are anharmonic os- cillator potentials provide a powerful tool for modelling complex quantum systems.

The use of Sinc‐collocation method for solving Falkner–Skan boundary‐layer equation

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, 2010
AbstractThe MHD Falkner–Skan equation arises in the study of laminar boundary layers exhibiting similarity on the semi‐infinite domain. The proposed approach is equipped by the orthogonal Sinc functions that have perfect properties. This method solves the problem on the semi‐infinite domain without truncating it to a finite domain and transforming ...

Solution of Troesche's problem by double exponential Sinc collocation method

2018
In this investigation, the Sinc collocation method based on double exponential transformation is developed to solve the Troesche's problem. Properties of this method are utilized to reduce the system of strongly nonlinear two point boundary value problem to same nonlinear algebraic equations.

Improvement of a Sinc-collocation method for Fredholm integro-differential equations

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2015
A Sinc-collocation method for Fredholm integro-differential equations was developed by Rashidinia–Zarebnia. Their numerical experiments show that the method converges exponentially. However, in reality, the method does not converge uniformly over the given interval [a, b].

A Sinc-Collocation Method for Weakly Singular Volterra Integral Equations

1989
Let Tα:C[0,a] →C[0,a] denote the linear Volterra operator defined by $${{\text{T}}^\alpha}{\text{f(x)= }}\int\limits_0^{\text{x}}{{{{\text{(x-t)}}}^{-\alpha}}}{\text{k(x,t) f(t)dt,0}}\leqslant{\text{x}}\leqslant{\text{a,}}$$ (1.1) where 0 < α < 1 and where k is a smooth function on the domain {(x,t): 0 ≤ t ≤ x ≤ a}.
