Perceived Blur in Naturally-Contoured Images Depends on Phase
Perceived blur is an important measure of image quality and clinical visual function. The magnitude of image blur varies across space and time under natural viewing conditions owing to changes in pupil size and accommodation.

Hepatic HDGF as a key mediator in coordinating hepatic steatosis and intrahepatic crosstalk in MASLD. Activation of HDGF facilitates its interaction with both STAT3 and S6K1, driving the S6K1‐dependent STAT3 phosphorylation and subsequently enhancing hepatic lipogenesis.

Nonsmooth and level-resolved dynamics illustrated with a periodically driven tight-binding model
We point out that in the first-order time-dependent perturbation theory, the transition probability may behave nonsmoothly in time and have kinks periodically.

This research identifies DTX3L as a critical tumor suppressor that inhibits epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT), invasion and metastasis in gastric cancer. By functioning as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, DTX3L targets the master EMT regulator SNAI1 for GSK‐3β‐dependent proteasomal degradation.

Polynomial-Exponential Bounds for Some Trigonometric and Hyperbolic Functions
Recent advances in mathematical inequalities suggest that bounds of polynomial-exponential-type are appropriate for evaluating key trigonometric functions.

A New Tailored Sinc Pulse and Its Use for Multiband Pulse Design [PDF]
Purpose: Among RF pulses, a sinc pulse is typically used for slice selection due to its frequency-selective feature. When a sinc pulse is implemented in practice, it needs to be apodized to avoid truncation artifacts at the expense of broadening the ...

Dynamic Harmonic Synchrophasor Estimator Based on Sinc Interpolation Functions [PDF]
This paper introduces a new dynamic harmonic synchrophasor estimator (DHSE) based on the Shannon sampling theorem. Each dynamic harmonic phasor is modeled as a weighted sum of a series of sinc interpolation functions. Based on this, a bank of finite impulse response filters is designed.

Dysregulated TCA cycle contributes to Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis. Here, we show that microglial isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) is a critical driver. Elevated IDH1 disrupts citrate metabolism and mitochondrial function, exacerbating AD pathology.
