What factors influence dyadic synchrony? A systematic review of the literature on predictors of mother-infant dyadic processes of shared behavior and affect. [PDF]

open access: yesInfant Ment Health J, 2022
Abstract Dyadic behavioral synchrony is a complex interactional process that takes place between the mother and her infant. In the first year of life, when the infant is prelinguistic, processes such as synchrony enable the dyad to communicate through shared behavior and affect.

Fine‐scale temporal dynamics of flower visitors sheds light on insect‐assemblage overlap between sexes in a dioecious Ecuadorian palm

open access: yesBiotropica, Volume 55, Issue 1, Page 256-267, January 2023., 2023
We characterized the composition and the temporal variations of the arthropods community visiting female and male inflorescences of the palm Phytelephas aequatorialis. We report 59 morphospecies dominated by three beetle families: Staphylinidae, Nitidulidae, and Curculionidae and 16 pollinator candidates among which nine visited both inflorescence ...

Long‐term and year‐to‐year stability and its drivers in a Mediterranean grassland

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 110, Issue 5, Page 1174-1188, May 2022., 2022
This 14‐year study of a species‐rich semi‐natural Mediterranean grassland shows that stability increases with richness, asynchrony and conservative strategies. Fertilization decreases stability by promoting long‐term trends in species composition, favouring competitive species and decreasing richness.

Variables e impacto persuasivo del overlapping o encabalgamiento audiovual

open access: yesLa Revista Icono 14, 2011
El overlapping es una técnica de montaje audiovisual donde el sonido se adelanta intencionalmente a la imagen durante el ensamble de dos secuencias. Este procedimiento tiene la finalidad de suavizar la transición de las secuencias vinculadas o, en cambio,

Unraveling the Phenology of the Liana Marcgravia longifolia: Temporal Patterns and Climatic Cues

open access: yesBiotropica, Volume 58, Issue 2, March 2026.
We monitored the reproductive phenology of the Amazonian liana Marcgravia longifolia J. F. Macbr (Marcgraviaceae) for 84 consecutive months in the Peruvian Amazon to quantify the timing, synchrony, and seasonality of flowering and ripe fruiting. Flower presence peaked in August with intermediate synchrony, while ripe fruit presence peaked in November ...

Fenología, sincronía floral y éxito reproductivo de Neolloydia conoidea (Cactaceae)

open access: yesBotan‪ical Sciences, 2019
Antecedentes: Los estudios sobre los patrones de floración, sincronía floral y éxito reproductivo en cactáceas son incipientes y de muchas especies se desconoce prácticamente su biología reproductiva como ocurre con la cactácea globosa Neolloydia ...

Decoupling of trait and species turnover in fire‐prone Mediterranean plant communities

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 112, Issue 9, Page 2043-2056, September 2024.
The authors provide evidence that above‐ and below‐ground traits describe different recovery trajectories after fire, with significant effects on the phenotypic redundancy of plant communities. These results encourage the use of multi‐trait approaches to understand how the plant reassembly operates after disturbance, in order to refine ecological ...

Effects of protection and temperature variation on temporal stability in a marine reserve network

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 38, Issue 3, June 2024.
Abstract Understanding the drivers of ecosystem stability has been a key focus of modern ecology as the impacts of the Anthropocene become more prevalent and extreme. Marine protected areas (MPAs) are tools used globally to promote biodiversity and mediate anthropogenic impacts.
