A Single-Phase-to-Ground Fault Location Method Based on Deep Belief Network

2021
When a single-phase-to-ground (SPG) fault occurs in a resonant grounding distribution system, the amplitude of the transient zero-sequence current waveform at the upstream detection node of the fault point is greater than the amplitude of the transient zero-sequence current waveform at the downstream detection node, and the two polarities are opposite.

Decreasing the harmonic content of the fault current during single-phase to ground faults in compensated network

2009 IEEE Bucharest PowerTech, 2009
The harmonic content of the short circuit current during single-phase to earth fault is discussed in networks with compensated neutrals. An overview of different methods to decrease the harmonics in the fault current is given. The zero sequence active filtering method is analyzed in detail using computer simulations.

An integrate method of locating fault line under single phase to ground fault in distribution network

2009 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics, 2009
Based the single selection method of deficiencies on the distribution network being single-phase ground fault, this paper presents the combined approach the using of transient signal wavelet analysis method and steady-state signal comparison of the amplitude method. Thus in theoretical the method of line selection is complete. The results of the MATLAB

A novel method for single phase-to-ground fault location based on wavelet analysis and correlation

2013 IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference (ISGT), 2013
This paper deals with the problem of single phase-to-ground fault location in distribution networks. A novel method is proposed that overcomes the difficulties that traditional fault location methods have, like their sensibility to the large transition resistance due to the fault.

Machine-learning-based single-phase-to-ground fault detection in distribution systems

2017 IEEE Conference on Energy Internet and Energy System Integration (EI2), 2017
It is still a focus of research to detect the faulty feeder timely and accurately in resonant grounding distribution systems. The conventional methods commonly use single faulty feeder detection methods, such as wavelet transform method, transient energy method, and the fifth harmonic current method, etc. However, their reliability is not satisfied due

Methods of Getting Zero Sequence Current in a Single-Phase-to-Ground Fault

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
After a single-phase-to ground fault, fault voltage and current information should be sampled accurately for automatic equipments to detect the fault line. And zero sequence current is the very key element to detect the fault line after an earth fault happens. The widely used methods of getting zero sequence current are in details described. The common
