Transient based Single Phase to Ground Fault Distance Computation
2009The subject of this work is location of single phase to ground fault in medium voltage distribution network. The considered distribution network can be grounded or isolated and normally is in radial operation. The fault location is based on the fault generated low frequency transient signals of current and voltage of faulty phase measured in the supply

Measured impedance by distance relay elements in a single phase to ground fault
2008 International Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2008Distance relays are one of the mostly used protective devices in the transmission systems. These relays are used as the main and backup protective device. Fault resistance is a source of error for distance relays in the form of the measured impedance deviation from its actual value.

A Single-Phase-to-Ground Fault Location Method Based on Deep Belief Network
2021When a single-phase-to-ground (SPG) fault occurs in a resonant grounding distribution system, the amplitude of the transient zero-sequence current waveform at the upstream detection node of the fault point is greater than the amplitude of the transient zero-sequence current waveform at the downstream detection node, and the two polarities are opposite.

Single phase to ground fault locator for distribution systems with distributed generation
2012 Sixth IEEE/PES Transmission and Distribution: Latin America Conference and Exposition (T&D-LA), 2012This paper presents the definition and the extended application of a fault location technique for power distribution systems based on the well defined equivalent sequence networks. The proposed location technique uses the voltages and currents measured at the main power substation and also at the DG source.

The harmonic content of the short circuit current during single-phase to earth fault is discussed in networks with compensated neutrals. An overview of different methods to decrease the harmonics in the fault current is given. The zero sequence active filtering method is analyzed in detail using computer simulations.

A novel method for single phase-to-ground fault location based on wavelet analysis and correlation
2013 IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference (ISGT), 2013This paper deals with the problem of single phase-to-ground fault location in distribution networks. A novel method is proposed that overcomes the difficulties that traditional fault location methods have, like their sensibility to the large transition resistance due to the fault.

Methods of Getting Zero Sequence Current in a Single-Phase-to-Ground Fault
Advanced Materials Research, 2012After a single-phase-to ground fault, fault voltage and current information should be sampled accurately for automatic equipments to detect the fault line. And zero sequence current is the very key element to detect the fault line after an earth fault happens. The widely used methods of getting zero sequence current are in details described. The common
