Single-phase power production

Proceedings of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1916
The general tendency of the electric power supply industry is toward the centralization of power stations, embracing a variety of loads. In order to be consistent with this development it is highly desirable that power stations be standardized in essential features, so that they may combine their resources toward the ideal arrangement.

Implementation of Single phase matrix converter as generalized single phase converter

2012 2nd International Conference on Power, Control and Embedded Systems, 2012
A single phase matrix converter has been used as a Generalized single phase Power electronics converter such as Rectifier, Chopper, Inverter, AC voltage controller and Frequency changer using a single topology. An algorithm is developed that provides flexibility to single phase matrix converter (SPMC) to perform function of above various converters ...

Fault tolerant DC-link single-phase to single-phase converter

2006 37th IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2006
This paper proposes a fault tolerant ac-ac single-phase converter The proposed system provide compensation for open circuit and short circuit failures occurring in the converter power devices. The fault compensation is achieved by reconfiguring the power converter topology with the help of isolating and connecting devices.

Component minimized single-phase converters for multiple single-phase loads

Conference Record of the 2002 IEEE Industry Applications Conference. 37th IAS Annual Meeting (Cat. No.02CH37344), 2003
This paper investigates two reduced switch count AC-AC converter for supplying independently multiple single-phase load. The first converter system uses multiple one-leg converter topologies that share the mid-point connection to the split capacitor bank of the DC-link. The second converter system also uses multiple one-leg converter topologies, but in
