Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Direct detection of a single photon by humans
The detection limit of human vision has remained unclear. Using a quantum light source capable of generating single-photon states of light, authors here report that humans can perceive a single photon incidence on the eye with a probability above chance.

Integrated spatial multiplexing of heralded single photon sources
The non-deterministic nature of photon sources is a key limitation for single photon quantum processors. Spatial multiplexing overcomes this by enhancing the heralded single photon yield without enhancing the output noise.

Topological van der Waals contacts represent a new class of electrodes for 2D semiconductors, enabling precise control of the Schottky barrier height (SBH) and contact resistance (RC) through interlayer distance and orbital hybridization engineering. In Se‐based transition metal dichalcogenides, these contacts achieve an ultralow SBH of 7 meV, RC of 0.

Microresonator-enhanced quantum dot single-photon emission in GaAs-on-insulator platform
Single-photon emitters play a crucial role in integrated photonic quantum systems across various material platforms. In this study, we present a cavity-enhanced quantum dot single-photon source in a high-index contrast material platform (GaAs-on ...

Single-Shot Quantum Nondemolition Detection of Individual Itinerant Microwave Photons
Single-photon detection is an essential component in many experiments in quantum optics, but it remains challenging in the microwave domain. We realize a quantum nondemolition detector for propagating microwave photons and characterize its performance ...

Selection Strategies for Flexible Pressure Sensor Electrode Materials Toward Ultrafast Response
This study reveals, for the first time, how the electrode–organic interface governs the temporal performance of flexible pressure sensors. By pairing high‐conductivity CVD PEDOT with commonly used metal electrodes, the authors demonstrate that interfacial energy alignment dictates microsecond‐scale response, providing a straightforward design strategy ...

Criterion for Single Photon Sources
We propose a criterion to classify and compare sources of single photons: the $p$-norm of their $k$th-order photon correlations. While ideally one should use the uniform norm with $p\rightarrow\infty$, in practice, the 3-norm already allows a meaningful comparison and shows the serious limitations of the usual criterion based on the second order ...
