Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Exploring Texture Transfer Learning via Convolutional Neural Networks for Iris Super Resolution
Increasingly, iris recognition towards more relaxed conditions has issued a new superresolution field direction. In this work we evaluate the use of deep learning and transfer learning for single image super resolution applied to iris recognition.

Efficient mixed transformer for single image super-resolution
Recently, Transformer-based methods have achieved impressive results in single image super-resolution (SISR). However, the lack of locality mechanism and high complexity limit their application in the field of super-resolution (SR). To solve these problems, we propose a new method, Efficient Mixed Transformer (EMT) in this study.

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

Compact spatio-spectral algorithm for single image super-resolution in hyperspectral imaging [PDF]
Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) is used in a wide range of applications such as remote sensing, space imagery, mineral detection, and exploration. Unfortunately, it is difficult to acquire hyperspectral images with high spatial and spectral resolution due to

Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Example-Based Single-Image Super-Resolution [PDF]
In this dissertation, three example-based single-image super-resolution methods and a benchmark study are presented. The three super-resolution methods individually explore domain-specific, efficient and effective super-resolution solutions. The first ...

The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.
