Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Large receptive field convolutional neural network for image super-resolution

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents a new approach to Single Image Super Resolution (SISR), based upon Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Although the SISR is ill-posed which can be seen as finding a non-linear mapping from a low to high dimensional space.

Super-Resolution Reconstruction of Cell Pseudo-Color Image Based on Raman Technology

open access: yesSensors, 2019
Raman spectroscopy visualization is a challenging task due to the interference of complex background noise and the number of selected measurement points.

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

A Sparse Analysis-Based Single Image Super-Resolution

open access: yesComputers, 2019
In the current study, we were inspired by sparse analysis signal representation theory to propose a novel single-image super-resolution method termed “sparse analysis-based super resolution” (SASR).

Refinement of amino‐acid conformation vs. difference density maps in time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography data analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Single-Image Super-Resolution Using Multihypothesis Prediction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
-Single-image super-resolution driven by multihypothesis prediction is considered. The proposed strategy exploits self-similarities existing between image patches within a single image. Specifically, each patch of a low-resolution image is represented as
