Guided Dual Networks for Single Image Super-Resolution

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The PSNR-oriented super-resolution (SR) methods pursue high reconstruction accuracy, but tend to produce over-smoothed results and lose plenty of high-frequency details.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Super-resolution single-photon imaging at 8.2 kilometers

open access: yesOptics Express, 2020
Single-photon light detection and ranging (LiDAR), offering single-photon sensitivity and picosecond time resolution, has been widely adopted for active imaging applications. Long-range active imaging is a great challenge, because the spatial resolution degrades significantly with the imaging range due to the diffraction limit of the optics, and only ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Image Super-resolution Reconstruction of Functional Composite Deep Network

open access: yesJisuanji kexue yu tansuo, 2020
Aiming at the problems of weak inter-layer connections, single network concerns and insufficient utilization of layered features in the existing single-image super-resolution reconstruction using simple chain-stacked single network, a composite depth ...

C2α‐carbanion‐protonating glutamate discloses tradeoffs between substrate accommodation and reaction rate in actinobacterial 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

PRED: A Parallel Network for Handling Multiple Degradations via Single Model in Single Image Super-Resolution

open access: yes, 2019
Existing SISR (single image super-resolution) methods mostly assume that a low-resolution (LR) image is bicubicly down-sampled from its high-resolution (HR) counterpart, which inevitably give rise to poor performance when the degradation is out of ...

Fast Single Image Super-Resolution.

open access: yesCoRR, 2015
This paper addresses the problem of single image super-resolution (SR), which consists of recovering a high resolution image from its blurred, decimated and noisy version. The existing algorithms for single image SR use different strategies to handle the decimation and blurring operators.
