A novel method of identifying sewing damage in single jersey fabrics

Measurement of Single Jersey Fabric Stiffness : A Simple Method
Textile Research Journal, 1978A method of measuring the bending length of limp and/or curly fabrics is described. The method is based on Peirce's Heart-Loop test. Results obtained on a set of 12 knit fabrics correlate extremely well with sensory assessments of the bending stiffness.
