Ferroelectric Single‐Molecule Magnet with Toroidal Magnetic Moments

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2022
Materials that coexist magnetic and electric properties on the molecular scale in single‐molecule magnets (SMMs) with peculiar quantum behaviors have promise in molecular electronics and spintronics.

Nuclear anapole moments in single-particle approximation [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 1994
Nuclear anapole moments of $\;^{133}$Cs, $\;^{203,205}$Tl, $\;^{207}$Pb, $\;^{209}$Bi are treated in the single-particle approximation. Analytical results are obtained for the oscillator potential without spin-orbit interaction. Then the anapole moments are calculated numerically in a Woods-Saxon potential which includes spin-orbit interaction.

Nuclear magnetic quadrupole moments in the single-particle approximation [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 1994
A static magnetic quadrupole moment of a nucleus, induced by T- and P-odd nucleon-nucleon interaction, is investigated in the single-particle approximation. Models are considered allowing for analytical solution. The problem is also treated numerically in a Woods-Saxon potential with spin-orbit interaction. The stability of results is discussed.

Phenotype Classification Using Moment Features of Single-Cell Data [PDF]

open access: yesCancer Informatics, 2018
Features for standard expression microarray and RNA-Seq classification are expression averages over collections of cells. Single cell provides expression measurements for individual cells in a collection of cells from a particular tissue sample.

Characterizations of a Class of Distributions by Dual Generalized Order Statistics and Truncated Moments [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2014
The problem of characterizing a distribution is an important problem which has recently attracted the attention of many researchers. Thus, various characterizations have been established in many different directions.

Single-pixel imaging using discrete Zernike moments

open access: yesOptics Express, 2022
A novel single-pixel imaging (SPI) technique based on discrete orthogonal Zernike moments is proposed. In this technique, the target object is illuminated by two sets of Zernike basis patterns which satisfy the Zernike polynomials. The Zernike moments of object image are obtained by measuring the reflected light intensities through a single-pixel ...

On Upper k-Record Values from the Generalized Linear Exponential Distribution

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2021
In this paper, we derive the exact expressions as well as recurrence relations for single and product moment of generalized upper record values from the four-parameter generalized linear exponential distribution.

Effective single-particle magnetic moments around 208Pb [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 1972
Abstract An effective magnetic-moment operator is empirically derived for shell-model states around 208Pb. It reproduces thirteen measured moments to a few tenths of a nuclear magneton, but predicts too high a hindrance for M1 transitions.
