Dipole moment values from single-solution measurements

Journal of Chemical Education, 1988
The authors calculate dipole moment values and compare these to results obtained through conventional procedures.

Single and product moments of cauchy order statistics

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 1996
In this paper, we obtain infinite series expansions for the kih order moment of order statistics from a standard Cauchy distribution. Methods for obtaining alternative expressions for the second and third order moments have been discussed. Finally, infinite series expansions for the product moments are also obtained.

Learning Video Moment Retrieval Without a Single Annotated Video

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, 2022
Video moment retrieval has progressed significantly over the past few years, aiming to search the moment that is most relevant to a given natural language query. Most existing methods are trained in a fully-supervised or a weakly-supervised manner, which requires a time-consuming and expensive manually labeling process.

Moment-rotation model of single-web angle connections

International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, 2017
Abstract The objective of this study is to develop a more accurate model to predict moment-rotation model for single-web angle connections. As the characteristics of connections affect the distribution of inner force and displacement of structure, the effects of connections must be incorporated in the analysis of the structural system.

Redundant single gimbal control moment gyroscope singularity analysis

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 1990
The robotic manipulator is proposed as the mechanical analog to single gimbal control moment gyroscope systems, and it is shown that both systems share similar difficulties with singular configurations. This analogy is used to group gimbal angles corresponding to any momentum state into different families.

Spacecraft attitude maneuver using two single-gimbal control moment gyros

Acta Astronautica, 2012
Abstract In this paper, arbitrary rest-to-rest attitude maneuver problems for a satellite using two single-gimbal control moment gyros (2SGCMGs) are considered. Although single-gimbal control moment gyros are configured in the same manner as the traditional pyramid-array CMG, only two CMGs are assumed to be available.

Magnetic Moments of Single-Crystal Tb–Sm Alloys

Russian Physics Journal, 2002
In the present paper, the magnetic properties of Tb1–xSmx alloys with different samarium contents are investigated along the (b), (c) crystallographic directions in magnetic fields up to 50 kOe in the temperature interval 4.2–400 K. It is demonstrated that small additions of the light rare-earth samarium metal to the heavy rare-earth terbium metal ...

Hybrid Steering Logic for Single-Gimbal Control Moment Gyroscopes

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 2010
The development of a hybrid steering logic that maintains attitude tracking precision while avoiding hyperbolic internal singularities or escaping elliptic singularities inherent to single-gimbal control moment gyroscopes is discussed. The hybrid steering logic enables null motion and limits torque error when approaching a hyperbolic internal ...

Single-well moment tensor inversion of tensile microseismic events

SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2017, 2016
Microseismic data acquired in a single observation well parallel to the axis of rotational symmetry of surrounding rocks — typically, in a vertical well drilled through a horizontally layered isotropic or vertically transversely isotropic formation — cannot be uniquely inverted for six independent components comprising the full seismic moment tensor ...

Methods of Moments for Single Linear Equation Models

2008
Method-of-moment (MOM) estimator for single linear equation models is introduced here, whereas MOM for multiple linear equations will be examined in the next chapter. Least squares estimator (LSE) is reviewed to estimate the conditional mean (i.e., regression function) in a model with exogenous regressors.
