Study of Free‐Space Optical Quantum Network: Review and Prospectives

Surface Plasmon Enhanced Photoluminescence of Carbon Dots Formed In Situ on Silver Gratings

Carbon emitters formed in situ on a silver grating via plasmonic catalysis yield enhanced spontaneous emission by preferential radiative decay into surface plasmons. Enhancement manifests as emission exhibiting characteristics of coherence (polarization, directionality), and accelerated lifetimes of ∼30 ps, yielding Purcell factors of ∼70.

Time‐Resolved Photoluminescence Lifetime Measurements of Organic Photovoltaic Materials

A nondestructive measurement technique utilizing time‐correlated single photon counting (TCSPC), based on photoluminescence statistics is presented for organic photovoltaic materials. Image scanning microscopy (ISM) with a single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) array detector

If a scanning illumination spot is combined with a detector array, we acquire a 4 dimensional signal. Unlike confocal microscopy with a small pinhole, we detect all the light from the object, which is particularly important for fluorescence microscopy, when the signal is weak.
