Design of single sampling plans by closed-form equations

2013 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC), 2013
The paper discusses the problem of designing attribute sampling plans by means of closed-form approximate formulae. A methodology is developed to fully characterize the formulae, in terms of design error, i.e. difference between "estimated" and "true" parameters of the sampling plan for given requirements.

A New Design on Attributes Single Sampling Plans

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2015
In this article, two new approaches are introduced to design attributes single plans, and the corresponding models are constructed separately. For Approach I, an algorithm is proposed to design sampling plans by setting a goal function to fulfill the two-point conditions on the operating characteristic curve.

Stochastic Parameter Single Sampling Plans of Given Strength

Calcutta Statistical Association Bulletin, 1991
The problem of designing a single sampling plan is consi-dered when acceptable and rejectable quality levels are required to be assumed as random variables. The problem is formulated as a stochastic goal programing problem. Numerical examples for approximate and exact solution methods as well as a sensitivity analysis are included.

Designing a yield-based skip-lot sampling plan for lot acceptance determination

Journal of the Operational Research Society, 2020
Acceptance sampling has been widely used in practical applications for incoming or receiving inspections, and various sampling plans have been developed for different circumstances and purposes.

Predictive design of single sampling attribute plans

Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, 2016
ABSTRACTThe design of a sampling inspection plan is usually based on the properties of the operating characteristic curve. This approach ensures that the plan has adequate power to discriminate a lot of acceptable quality from a lot rejectable quality. However, the designed plan need not necessarily have adequate predictive power when the sentenced lot

Single, Double and Multiple Sampling Plans: Hypergeometric Distribution

Journal of Interdisciplinary Mathematics, 2012
Abstract Systematic and standardized approach for monitoring and evaluating disease control programs is needed. The conventional sample survey methods are expensive, time consuming and need a great deal of resources. Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) technique, originally a quality control tool in an industry, which was tried successfully for ...

Minimum Sample Size Single Sampling Plans: A Computerized Approach

Journal of Quality Technology, 1980
A computer program is presented which provides minimum sample size single sampling plans that meet prescribed protection levels for both producer and consumer.

Effect of Risk Aversion on Single Sample Attribute Inspection Plans

Management Science, 1984
The impact of a decision maker's risk aversion on the choice of an optimal sampling plan is empirically examined for various batch sizes and prior distributions of the process quality level. These plans are compared to those of the classical linear cost model.

Cost Minimizing Single Sampling Plans with AIQL and AOQL Constraints

Management Science, 1974
This paper investigates and formulates the relationships among average incoming quality limit (AIQL), production process quality level and average fraction defective after production process for a single-stage manufacturing connected-unit situation. Cost components of the system are identified.

Selection of Combined Continuous Lot-by-Lot Sampling Plans with Single Sampling Plan by Attributes as the Reference Plan

Journal of Testing and Evaluation, 2014
Abstract Sampling inspection is a product-control methodology and consists of procedures for making decisions on the disposition of lots of finished products based on the inspection of individual units in one or more random samples drawn from the lots or from the process.
