SUPPLEMENTARY AQL SINGLE SAMPLING INSPECTION PLANS

1965
Abstract : In a previous paper (AD-416 800) a set of AQL single sampling inspection plans was given for gamma = 2 and 10. Further research along the same lines led to a generalized model and corresponding tables as given in (AD- 609 993). One of the new results is that values of gamma may normally be expected to be less than 2.

Designing Single-Sampling Inspection Plans When the Sample Size is Fixed

Journal of the American Statistical Association, 1953
Abstract A simple technique is developed for determining “best” single sampling inspection plans when the sample size is fixed. Two cases are considered: (1) single sampling plans for placing a lot into one of two categories and (2) single sampling plans for placing a lot into one of three categories.

Variable stage-independent double sampling plan with screening for acceptance quality loss limit inspection scheme

International Journal of Production Research, 2019
The quality loss suggested by Taguchi has been recognised as a new quality evaluation based on variable property instead of the quality evaluation based on traditional attribute property such as the proportion of nonconforming items.

An Optimal Single Variable Sampling Plan with Censoring

The Statistician, 1990
In this paper, we develop a model of a single variable sampling plan with censoring. The property for each item in a batch is determined by a variable which is exponentially distributed. A polynomial loss function is considered. In the case of Type II censoring, we suggest a simple algorithm for the determination of the optimal sampling plan.

Computer design and evaluation of single-sampling plans

Computers & Industrial Engineering, 1977
Abstract This article describes two programs, developed by the University of DaytonSchool of Engineering, useful in designing and evaluating attribute single-sampling plans. The first program can be used to design single-sampling plans, given two points. The second program can be used to simultaneously evaluate up to five single-sampling plans.

Lot quality assurance sampling: single- and double-sampling plans.

World health statistics quarterly. Rapport trimestriel de statistiques sanitaires mondiales, 1991
Lot quality assurance sampling (LQAS) was originally developed for industrial applications. This article discusses the extension of its application to a public health setting. When resources must be allocated to several communities based on whether or not each exceeds a target proportion of members with a characteristic, a sampling scenario arises ...

Adjusting Single Sampling Plans for Finite Lot Size

Applied Statistics, 1959
Most single sampling plans assume that the lot size is large compared with the sample size, and the calculated operating characteristic curves are strictly valid only under these conditions. In this article Dr Hamaker describes a simple method for finding the sample size and acceptance number appropriate to a lot of finite size, so that the resulting ...

A Closed Form Solution for Single Sample Acceptance Sampling Plans

Journal of Quality Technology, 1978
A normal approximation to the binomial distribution developed by Borges with error team of order 1/n is utilized to find the sample size and acceptance number in a single sample acceptance sampling plan when two points on the operating characteristic (O..
