Single-phase and two-phase flows through helical rectangular channels in single screw expander prototype

Journal of Hydrodynamics, 2014
The CFD simulations are carried out for the flows in a horizontally oriented helical pipe with various inlet sectional liquid holdups and coil pitches (H). The development of the pressure fields for the single phase air flow and the air-water two-phase flow through the helical rectangular channels is studied.

Static Finite Element Analysis on Cast Shell of a 100 kW Single Screw Expander

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
In the process of shell design of a 100kW single screw expander, the fundamental research on the screw chamber walls thickness is still lacking. Thin wall may cause deformation and the damage possibility of the inlet passage. Thick wall will increase the weight of the expander and led to assembly problem and transportation inconvenience. In this paper,

Power system study of engine waste heat recovery based on single screw expander

2011 International Conference on Electric Information and Control Engineering, 2011
This paper introduces the principle of the engine waste heat recovery system. The organic Rankine cycle (orc) system is proposed to improve the efficiency of waste heat recovery. GT-power software is used to make a DI engine model of 493ZLQ3. The model simulates the exhaust temperature on the brake power curve and brake torque curve based on the ...

Single stage corpectomy. Expandable cage insertion and pedicle screw fixation by posterior approach.

2013
Objective: Burst fractures represent 10% to 20% of all spine injuries at or near the thoracolumbar junction, and can cause neurologic complications and kyphotic deformity. The goal of surgical intervention is to decompress the neural elements, restore vertebral body height, correct angular[for full text, please go to the a.m. URL]
