Incorporating Heavy Atom Effect onto Molecular Rotors for Realizing Exceptionally Photocatalytic Oxidation Reaction under Low‐Temperature Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Here, we reported a series of molecular‐rotor‐based photoactivated oxidase mimics, DAPy‐Xm, in which heavy atom incorporation enhances both ROS generation and cold‐adapted property. Among them, DAPy‐Im enables efficient photo‐oxidation of ergosterol and photocatalytic H2O2 production at low temperature.

Light‐Controlled Exposure of Cancer Cells to Reactive Oxygen Species Using Organic Semiconductor Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Spin‐coated films of the conjugated polymer F8T2 (poly (9,9‐dioctylfluorene‐alt‐bithiophene)) generate superoxide at the film‐medium interface, enabling precise delivery of reactive oxygen species (ROS) as visible‐light “ROS patches.” Coated surfaces drive rapid, localised cytotoxicity in MCF7 cancer monolayers under white light, providing a reagent ...

[Singlet oxygen therapy].

open access: yesKlinichna khirurhiia, 1997
Physico-chemical concept of the singlet oxygen therapy application using photochemically sensibilized air or drinking a water, already barbaturized by an activated singlet oxygen of air, is adduced. Therapy technology and examples of its clinical application in the treatment of several pathologic processes for the free-radicals correction are depicted.

Modeling and Improving Geometric Accuracy in Projection Multiphoton Lithography

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical framework describing the optical and photochemical processes is developed to elucidate the origins of geometric deviations in projection multiphoton lithography. The results indicate that oxygen diffusion and inhibition, and DMD diffraction, lead to geometric distortions.
