Two-photon pathway to ultracold ground state molecules of 23Na40K

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2015
We report on high-resolution spectroscopy of ultracold fermionic ^23 Na ^40 K Feshbach molecules, and identify a two-photon pathway to the rovibrational singlet ground state via a resonantly mixed B ^1 Π ∼ c ^3 Σ ^+ intermediate state.

Microstructure determines crystallinity-driven singlet fission efficiency in diF-TES-ADT [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports
Singlet fission (SF) describes the conversion of a single photon-generated excited state into two triplet excitons through an initial singlet state.

Preparing Nuclear Spin Singlet State in a Three-spin System and Its Application in 2D Spectrum

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2022
Nuclear spin singlet state is a special spin state, whose main characteristic is that its lift-time can be much longer than the corresponding longitudinal/transverse relaxation time.

Singlet/Triplet State Anti/Aromaticity of CyclopentadienylCation: Sensitivity to Substituent Effect

open access: yesChemistry, 2021
It is well known that singlet state aromaticity is quite insensitive to substituent effects, in the case of monosubstitution. In this work, we use density functional theory (DFT) calculations to examine the sensitivity of triplet state aromaticity to ...

Composite pulses for high fidelity population transfer in three-level systems

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
In this work, we propose a composite pulses (CPs) scheme by modulating phases to achieve high fidelity population transfer in three-level systems. To circumvent the obstacle that not enough variables are exploited to eliminate the systematic errors in ...

Preparation and Lifetime Studies of the Singlet State of Five Spins in Hexene Molecules Used to Guide the Preservation of the Parahydrogen-induced Nuclear Polarization State

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2023
Parahydrogen-induced polarization (PHIP) technique can greatly enhance the sensitivity of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) signals, and has been applied in the fields of magnetic resonance imaging, in situ chemical reaction monitoring, etc.

Extending the Scope of Singlet‐State Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesChemPhysChem, 2007
AbstractDifferent decoupling sequences are tested—using various shaped radio‐frequency (RF) pulses—to achieve the longest possible lifetimes of singlet‐state populations over the widest possible bandwidths, that is, ranges of offsets and relative chemical shifts of the nuclei involved in the singlet states.

Isospin eigenstates of the color singlet-singlet-type pentaquark states

open access: yesScience China Physics, Mechanics & Astronomy, 2022
In this article, we construct the color singlet-singlet type five-quark currents with the isospins $(I,I_3)=(\frac{1}{2},\frac{1}{2})$ and $(\frac{3}{2},\frac{1}{2})$ unambiguously to explore the $\bar{D}Σ_c$, $\bar{D}Σ_c^*$, $\bar{D}^*Σ_c$ and $\bar{D}^*Σ_c^*$ pentaquark states via the QCD sum rules for the first time, where the $\bar{D}$, $Σ_c ...

Macroscopic singlet states for gradient magnetometry [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2013
We present a method for measuring magnetic field gradients with macroscopic singlet states realized with ensembles of spin-j particles. While the singlet state is completely insensitive to homogeneous magnetic fields, the variance of its collective spin components is highly sensitive to field gradients.

Laser excitation of the 1s-hyperfine transition in muonic hydrogen

open access: yesSciPost Physics, 2022
The CREMA collaboration is pursuing a measurement of the ground-state hyperfine splitting (HFS) in muonic hydrogen ($\mu$p) with 1 ppm accuracy by means of pulsed laser spectroscopy to determine the two-photon-exchange contribution with $2\times10^{-4}
