CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Volume and surface integral equations for electromagnetic scattering by a dielectric body

open access: yes, 2010
13 pagesInternational audienceWe derive and analyze two equivalent integral formulations for the time-harmonic electromagnetic scattering by a dielectric object. One is a volume integral equation (VIE) with a strongly singular kernel and the other one is

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

A Boundary Estimate for Singular Parabolic Diffusion Equations

open access: yes, 2017
We prove an estimate on the modulus of continuity at a boundary point of a cylindrical domain for local weak solutions to singular parabolic equations of p-laplacian type.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

An Alternative Approach of Initial Stability Analysis of Kirchhoff Plates by the Boundary Element Method

open access: yesEngineering Transactions, 2014
An initial stability of Kirchhoff plates is analysed in the paper. Proposed approach avoids Kirchhoff forces at the plate corner and equivalent shear forces at a plate boundary. Two unknown variables are considered at the boundary element node.

Hamilton-Jacobi quantization of singular Lagrangians with linear velocities

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper, constrained Hamiltonian systems with linear velocities are investigated by using the Hamilton-Jacobi method. We shall consider the integrablity conditions on the equations of motion and the action function as well in order to obtain the ...

YlmG1 is localized exclusively to the chloroplast envelope membrane and is involved in preprotein translocation in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

Potential method in the theory of Moore-Gibson-Thompson thermoporoelasticity

open access: yesArchives of Mechanics
In the present paper the linear theory of Moore–Gibson–Thompson thermoporoelasticity is considered and the basic boundary value problems (BVPs) of steady vibrations are investigated.

On singular solutions of a multidimensional differential equation of Clairaut-type with power and exponential functions

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2019
In the theory of ordinary differential equations, the Clairaut equation is well known. This equation is a non-linear differential equation unresolved with respect to the derivative.
