Perturbation of singular integral operators with piecewise continuous coefficients

open access: yesActa et Commentationes: Ştiinţe Exacte şi ale Naturii
In the paper it is shown that the property of singular integral operators with piecewise continuous coefficients to be Noetherian is stable with respect to their perturbation with certain non-compact operators. An example is constructed showing that the

A boundedness result for Marcinkiewicz integral operator

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2020
We extend a boundedness result for Marcinkiewicz integral operator. We find a new space of radial functions for which this class of singular integral operators remains Lp{L}^{p}-bounded when its kernel satisfies only the sole integrability condition.

Data‐driven forecasting of ship motions in waves using machine learning and dynamic mode decomposition

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Summary Data‐driven forecasting of ship motions in waves is investigated through feedforward and recurrent neural networks as well as dynamic mode decomposition. The goal is to predict future ship motion variables based on past data collected on the field, using equation‐free approaches.

Weyl-Titchmarsh Theory for Schroedinger Operators with Strongly Singular Potentials

open access: yes, 2011
We develop Weyl-Titchmarsh theory for Schroedinger operators with strongly singular potentials such as perturbed spherical Schroedinger operators (also known as Bessel operators).

Weighted Local Estimates for Singular Integral Operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A local median decomposition is used to prove that a weighted local mean of a function is controlled by a weighted local mean of its local sharp maximal function.

Hydrogel‐Based Capacitive Sensor Model for Ammonium Monitoring in Aquaculture

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Traditional techniques for monitoring aquaculture water quality, particularly ammonium levels, harm fish. This work presents a novel capacitive sensor with an ionic hydrogel transducer to monitor ammonium concentration in real time based on the ammonium‐induced hydrogel dissociation and osmotic pressure. Monitoring aquaculture water quality, especially

A study on pointwise approximation by double singular integral operators

open access: yes, 2015
In the present work we prove the pointwise convergence and the rate of pointwise convergence for a family of singular integral operators with radial kernel in two-dimensional setting in the following form: Lλ(f;x,y)=∬Df(t,s)Hλ(t−x,s−y)dtds$L_{\lambda ...
