Symmetrically coupled higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger equations: singularity analysis and integrability [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 2000
The integrability of a system of two symmetrically coupled higher-order nonlinear Schr dinger equations with parameter coefficients is tested by means of the singularity analysis. It is proven that the system passes the Painlev test for integrability only in ten distinct cases, of which two are new.

Localized direct boundary-domain integro-differential formulations for incremental elasto-plasticity of inhomogeneous body [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A quasi-static mixed boundary value problem of incremental elasto-plasticity for a continuously inhomogeneous body is considered. Using the two-operator Green–Betti formula and the fundamental solution of a reference homogeneous linear elasticity problem,

$^3P_2$-$^3F_2$ Pairing in Dense Neutron Matter: The Spectrum of Solutions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The $^3P_2$-$^3F_2$ pairing model is generally considered to provide an adequate description of the superfluid states of neutron matter at densities some 2-3 times that of saturated symmetrical nuclear matter. The problem of solving the system of BCS gap

Convergence analysis of product integration method for nonlinear weakly singular Volterra-Fredholm integral equations [PDF]

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis, 2015
In this paper, we studied the numerical solution of nonlinear weakly singular Volterra-Fredholm integral equations by using the product integration method. Also, we shall study the convergence behavior of a fully discrete version of a product integration

Explicit Construction of First Integrals with Quasi-monomial Terms from the Painlev\'{e} Series [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The Painlev\'{e} and weak Painlev\'{e} conjectures have been used widely to identify new integrable nonlinear dynamical systems. For a system which passes the Painlev\'{e} test, the calculation of the integrals relies on a variety of methods which are ...

Estimation of unknown function of nonlinear weakly singular integral inequalities of Gronwall–Bellman–Pachpatte type

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2019
Some new nonlinear weakly singular integral inequalities of Gronwall–Bellman–Pachpatte type are given. The estimations of unknown functions are obtained by analysis techniques.

A Product Integration type Method for solving Nonlinear Integral Equations in L

open access: yes, 2016
This paper deals with nonlinear Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. We study the case of a weakly singular kernel and we set the problem in the space L 1 ([a, b], C). As numerical method, we extend the product integration scheme from C 0 ([a,

Perfectly invisible $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric zero-gap systems, conformal field theoretical kinks, and exotic nonlinear supersymmetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate a special class of the $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric quantum models being perfectly invisible zero-gap systems with a unique bound state at the very edge of continuous spectrum of scattering states.

A Singular Nonlinear Volterra Integral Equation

open access: yesJournal of Integral Equations and Applications, 1993
Many problems in Applied Mathematics lead to the study of the nonlinear partial differential equation \(u_ t = (a(u))_{xx} + (b(u))_ x + c(u)\). The interest in the existence of travelling-wave solutions of the form \(U(x,t) = U(\psi)\), \(\psi = x - \lambda t\), originates an ordinary differential equation from which arise integral equations of the ...
