Regular and singular perturbations of upper semicontinuous differential inclusion

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1997
In the paper we study the continuity properties of the solution set of upper semicontinuous differential inclusions in both regularly and singularly perturbed case.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Motion Control of a Quadrotor Aircraft via Singular Perturbations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2013
In this paper, a new motion controller for a quadrotor aircraft is introduced. A reformulation of the control inputs of the dynamic model is discussed and then the control algorithm is given in a constructive form.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Non-Singular Finite Time Tracking Control Approach Based on Disturbance Observers for Perturbed Quadrotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

open access: yesSensors, 2022
In this paper, a disturbance observer based on the non-singular terminal sliding mode control method was presented for the quadrotor in the presence of wind perturbation. First, the position and attitude dynamical equation of the quadrotor was introduced

Neural networks for singular perturbations

open access: yesNumerische Mathematik
Abstract We prove deep neural network (DNN for short) expressivity rate bounds for solution sets of a model class of singularly perturbed, elliptic two-point boundary value problems, in Sobolev norms, on the bounded interval $$(-1,1)$$ (

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...

Hyperbolic-parabolic singular perturbations in general regions

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 1991
We consider a singular perturbations problem for the inhomogeneous damped wave equation and the inhomogeneous heat equation with moving boundary. We give rigorous and explicit estimates and show the uniform convergence.
