Solutions of singular integral equations
Qualitative behavior of solutions of possibly singluar integral equations is studied. It includes properties such as positivity, boundedness and monotonicity of the solutions of the infinite interval.

The Abrikosov vortex in curved space
We study the self-gravitating Abrikosov vortex in curved space with and with-out a (negative) cosmological constant, considering both singular and non-singular solutions with an eye to hairy black holes.

In this paper, we consider the existence of positive solutions for a singular tempered fractional equation with a p-Laplacian operator. By constructing a pair of suitable upper and lower solutions of the problem, some new results on the existence of ...

The asymptotic behavior of solutions to Schr\"odinger equations with singular homogeneous potentials is investigated. Through an Almgren type monotonicity formula and separation of variables, we describe the exact asymptotics near the singularity of ...

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.

Non-Singular Solutions for S-branes
Exact, non-singular, time-dependent solutions of Maxwell-Einstein gravity with and without dilatons are constructed by double Wick rotating a variety of static, axisymmetric solutions.

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Background. The problem of evaluation of the special (singular) solutions of Clairaut-type partial differential equations attracts a lot of interest studying various transformations of nonlinear equations of mathematical physics, for example, Legendre
