UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.

Singular-Value-Based Cluster Number Detection Method

open access: yesMathematics
The cluster number can directly affect the clustering effect and its application in real-world scenarios. Its determination is one of the key issues in cluster analysis.

Multidimensional Profiling of MRI‐Negative Temporal Lobe Epilepsy Uncovers Distinct Phenotypes

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Although hippocampal sclerosis (TLE‐HS) represents the most frequent cause of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), up to 30% of patients show no lesion on visual MRI inspection (TLE‐MRIneg). These cases pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges and are underrepresented in surgical series.

On Singular Interval-Valued Iteration Groups [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, 2016
Let I=(a,b) and L be a nowhere dense perfect set containing the ends of the interval I and let varphi:Ito mathbb R be a non-increasing continuoussurjection constant on the components of Isetminus L and the closures of these components be the maximal intervals of constancy of varphi .

Relationship Between Neurologic Symptoms and Signs and FMR1 Genotype in Premutation Carriers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Fragile X‐associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS) is the most severe late‐onset condition caused by a premutation in the FMR1 gene, characterized by expanded CGG triplet repeats of 55–200. Clinical presentations of FXTAS, including gait ataxia, kinetic tremor, cognitive decline, and rare Parkinsonism, are linked to ...

Singular Value Decomposition Wavelength-Multiplexing Ghost Imaging

open access: yesPhotonics
To enhance imaging quality, singular value decomposition (SVD) has been applied to single-wavelength ghost imaging (GI) or color GI. In this paper, we extend the application of SVD to wavelength-multiplexing ghost imaging (WMGI) for reducing the ...

Comparing the Effect of Semi‐Immersive Virtual Reality, Computerized Cognitive Training, and Traditional Rehabilitation on Cognitive Function in Multiple Sclerosis: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cognitive impairment is a common non‐motor symptom in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), negatively affecting autonomy and Quality of Life (QoL). Innovative rehabilitation strategies, such as semi‐immersive virtual reality (VR) and computerized cognitive training (CCT), may offer advantages over traditional cognitive rehabilitation (TCR ...

A singular nonlinear boundary value problem [PDF]

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 1978
We show that the following nonlinear boundary-value problem has a positive solution: \[ \ddot{y}-y+yF(y^2,t)=0,y(0)=0=\lim_{t\to \infty}\,y(t),\dot{y}(0) \mathrm{ finite.} \] We assume that \(F\) is continuous for \(t>0\), \(y^2 \geq 0\); \(F>0\) for \(y^2 >0\); and \(\eta^{-\delta}F(\eta ,t)\) is strictly increasing in \(\eta\) for some \(\delta>0 ...

Remarkable Recovery After Delayed High‐Dose Methylprednisolone in a Rare Case of Penetrating Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traumatic spinal cord injury (TSCI) caused by sharp‐force penetration is exceptionally rare, and the use of high‐dose methylprednisolone (MP) remains highly controversial, especially beyond the conventional 8‐h treatment window. This case report describes a 30‐year‐old male with acute incomplete TSCI following a knife stab wound to the right ...
