YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

A 3UPS/S Spherical Parallel Manipulator Designed for Robot-Assisted Hand Rehabilitation after Stroke

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Hand dysfunction is a common symptom in stroke patients. This paper presents a robotic device which assists the rehabilitation process in order to reduce the need of physical therapy, i.e., a 3UPS/S parallel robotic device is employed for repetitive ...

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Positive solutions for singular three-point boundary-value problems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2008
Using the theory of fixed point index, this paper discusses the existence of at least one positive solution and the existence of multiple positive solutions for the singular three-point boundary value problem: $$displaylines{ y''(t)+a(t)f(t,y(t),y ...

Singularity categories and singular loci of certain quotient singularities

open access: yes
Let $V$ be a finite dimensional $k$-vector space, where $k$ is an algebraic closed field of characteristic zero. Let $G \subseteq \mathrm{SL}(V)$ be a finite abelian group, and denote by $S$ the $G$-invariant subring of the polynomial ring $k[V]$. It is shown that the singularity category $D_{sg}(S)$ recovers the reduced singular locus of $\mathrm{Spec}
