PRF-Modified Graft Materials in Lateral Sinus Augmentation: A Systematic Review of Histologic Outcome [PDF]
BiomedicinesBackground: Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) has been increasingly investigated as a biological adjunct in maxillary sinus augmentation procedures because of its potential to enhance bone regeneration and graft remodelling.

Oral Health–Related Quality of Life and Patient-Reported Outcomes After Implant Rehabilitation Using CAS Kit–Assisted Indirect Maxillary Sinus Augmentation: A Longitudinal Observational Study [version 2; peer review: 2 approved, 1 approved with reservations] [PDF]
F1000ResearchBackground Partial edentulism in the posterior maxilla is frequently complicated by alveolar bone resorption and maxillary sinus pneumatization, limiting implant placement and negatively affecting oral health–related quality of life (OHRQoL).

Prediction of the bone volume for sinus augmentation through 3-dimensional analysis [PDF]
Journal of Dental SciencesBackground/purpose: No consensus has been established regarding the exact amount of bone grafting in maxillary sinus augmentation. The aim of this study was to estimate the minimum bone volume for sinus augmentation and to investigate the factors that ...

Changes in Maxillary Sinus Structure Due to Tooth Loss and the Effects of Sex and Aging on CBCT Before Maxillary Sinus Augmentation: A Cross-Sectional Study of 120 Patients [PDF]
BioengineeringProsthesis for missing maxillary molars with dental implants often requires maxillary sinus augmentation owing to insufficient alveolar bone height. However, the anatomical structure of the maxillary sinus is a significant risk factor.

A Novel Approach for the Treatment of Recurrent Oroantral Fistula Occurring at an Infected Sinus Augmentation Site [PDF]
MedicinaClosing a recurrent oroantral fistula (OAF) that occurs at an infected sinus augmentation site is a challenge for clinicians. The recurrent OAF has a detrimental impact on bone regeneration and subsequent implant placement.

Minimally Invasive Transalveolar Sinus Augmentation: An Answer to Sinus Conundrum
Dentistry and Medical Research, 2020 Dental implants have become the routine option for replacement of missing teeth, but it is challenging to place implants in the posterior maxilla due to inadequate bone dimensions and pneumatization of the maxillary sinus.
