Bone Volume Changes After Sinus Floor Augmentation with Heterogenous Graft

The International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, 2016
The aim of this study was to evaluate the volumetric stability of deproteinized bovine bone after sinus augmentation, using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and three-dimensional (3D) analysis.Using a specific selection tool and 3D reconstruction from InVesalius 3.0, volumetric analysis of CBCT scans was performed in patients undergoing a sinus ...

Sinus Floor Augmentation With Simultaneous Implant Placement in the Severely Atrophic Maxilla

Journal of Periodontology, 1998
Dental implant placement associated with augmentation of the sinus floor in the severely atrophie maxilla can be performed in 1‐ or 2‐surgical stages, depending on the height of the residual alveolar bone. A minimum of 4 to 5 mm of residual alveolar bone height is recommended for a 1‐stage surgical procedure.

Distribution of the maxillary artery as it relates to sinus floor augmentation.

The International journal of oral & maxillofacial implants, 2005
Knowledge of the blood supply to the sinus is of importance in sinus augmentation, both as it pertains to vascularization of the sinus graft and as its location relates to the position of the required lateral osteotomy. The purpose of this study was to investigate the distribution of the endosseous branches of the maxillary artery in the area of the ...

The clinical and histologic efficacy of xenograft granules for maxillary sinus floor augmentation.

The International journal of periodontics & restorative dentistry, 2011
The objective of this study was to investigate the potential of xenograft (cancellous bovine bone) granules to form vital bone in non-natural bone-forming areas of maxillary sinuses. Fourteen sinus augmentations were performed in 14 patients. Surgical outcomes were uneventful, and sufficient radiopaque volume was present radiographically to place ...
