Optimal sinusoidal modelling of gear mesh vibration signals for gear diagnosis and prognosis
Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, 2012Abstract In this paper, the synchronous signal average of gear mesh vibration signals is modelled with the multiple modulated sinusoidal representations. The signal model parameters are optimised against the measured signal averages by using the batch learning of the least squares technique.

Concentric magnetic gears hold a promising future in the field of low speed and high torque. To obtain a sinusoidal distribution of air gap magnetic field, in this paper, exact 2-D analytical method is proposed to calculate the magnetic field distribution in a concentric magnetic gear with Halbach permanent-magnet arrays, and analyzes the relationship ...

Today, involute spur gears are the most common in mechanical engineering. However, besides of the benefits, involute teeth present several disadvantages. To overcome those disadvantages, designers resort to changes that increase the complexity of equipment, cutting tools that lead to the expensive cost.

Structured Learning-Based Sinusoidal Modelling for Gear Diagnosis and Prognosis
2018In this paper, a structured learning based sinusoidal modelling approach is developed for the prognostics of gear tooth cracking process. According to the vibration signal properties, a learning structure is firstly proposed for gear mesh vibration signal modelling. The learning model is deigned to be a representation of the vibration signal, including
