AN INVESTIGATION ON PROPERTIES OF SIRO-SPUN YARNS [PDF]
Conventional ring spinning is known as traditional spinning system and it is most widely used system in textile industry. Despite being the most prevalent system and supplying approximately 60% of short-staple yarn production, there are still some ...

Characteristics of Novel Triplet Spun Yarns Made from Fibers of Differing Fineness [PDF]
In order to reduce the hairiness of ring spun yarns and to develop novel multilayered spun yarns, we investigated the properties of triplet spun yams made from the same size of three rovings with different fiber fineness using an experimental ring ...

Exploratory Work on the Spinning Condition of the Structure of Staple-core Twin-spun Yarns [PDF]
In order to design and develop novel-spun yarns with good functionality, we investigated how to construct a core-sheath structure adapted from a multilayered structure of triplet-spun yarn and/or made from a twin-spun yarn with core-staple fibers using ...

Twist distribution in staple fibre yarns
Staple fibre yarns vary quite markedly in linear density (tex) along their length and the degree to which twist redistributes from thick to thin places will affect the strength, torque and extension behaviour of the yarn. Theory suggests that twist along

Effect of yarn hairiness on energy consumption in rotating a ring-spun yarn package
The effect of yarn hairiness on energy consumption when rotating a ring-spun yarn package is investigated theoretically and experimentally. A theoretical model is developed to calculate the energy required to rotate hair fibers, based on hair length and ...

The effect of yarn hairiness on air drag in ring spinning
Air drag on yarn and package surfaces affects yarn tension, which in turn affects energy consumption and ends-down in ring spinning. This study investigated the effects of yarn hairiness on air drag in ring spinning.

Application of ANOVA and AHP in Assessing the Quality of Roving Cotton-Polyester Siro Yarn [PDF]
Siro spinning, an evolution of ring spinning, optimizes parameters, such as roving strand distance and twist multiplier, thereby enhancing yarn quality according to numerous studies. Experts have differing opinions on the benefits of roving distances for

Yarn properties developments with diagonally slotted roller on ring spinning machine [PDF]
To develop new ring spinning process, the diagonally slotted rollers (DSR) of various angles (15°, 30° and 45°) have been designed, manufactured and then fitted below and parallel to the top front draft rollers of a ring spinning frame.

Study on Sirospunning System to Reduce the Hairiness of Yarn
The twisting process of Sirospunning and Ringspunning was compared and analyzed as to the phenomenon that Sirospunning decreases yarn hairiness. It can be obtained from the analysis of geometrical model that more hairiness is twisted into the yarns and the amount of apparent hairiness is reduced through its special twisting.
